Hello again! Today was not full of too much excitement (I used the right "too" there mother, just for you!). Me, Kaylee, Jackie, Lael, Hannah and Eryn went in to Edinburgh to do some exploring. We went to Calton Hill and got some great views of the city and some great pictures! After that, we visited a nearby cemetery where David Hume is buried. We made our way to the Scots Monument because it is my favorite building in the whole city so far, so I made Lael take a picture of me there (the building is too tall to fit in the frame with me!). Then we walked down North Bridge and the Royal Mile to George IV's Bridge to The Elephant House where J.K. Rowling wrote "Harry Potter". It was an awesome feeling to know that we were in the place where she spent so many hours creating such a brilliant masterpiece! After that we went to the Grey Friar Cemetery where J.K. Rowling found names for her characters (we saw a McGonnagal's grave and Lael claims to have seen Tom Riddle's grave).

Then we caught the bus home. Eryn and Hannah made pasta and I made some microwavable lemon rice (only 1 pound at Tesco, the grocery store!). Our RA, Gina, invited us to watch some tv with her in her room so we caught an episode of American Idol and a bit of a reality tv show called Only in Essex. It was very funny to watch because we realized how ridiculously scripted the show was, it was a show like our Laguna Beach or Jersey Shore. I need to hit the sack soon though because Lael, Hannah and I are heading back into the city tomorrow for another adventure since our host families aren't able to make it to tea tomorrow afternoon :( I hope all is well in the US, I love you all! Again I'm including pictures of my day because it makes it that much more fun for you all to see what I've been doing as well :)
